An art gallery was in the process of setting up a new room, in which would be displayed works of artists such as Caravaggio, Rubens and Rembrandt. However, the room was rather larger than necessary for their collection, so they decided to fill some of the space with some additional works by Van Gogh, Monet and Picasso which they had on temporary loan.

The curator instructed the fitting staff to set up permanent, wall-mounted positions for the gallery's own collection, but to only use temporary, stand-alone easels for the loaned stock. However, on checking the work, the curator noticed that all the paintings had been mounted in permanent positions on the walls. He called the foreman into his office and gave him a dressing down, shouting...

"How many times do I have to tell you - if it ain't baroque, don't fix it!"
