Comet
Monday 30 March 2026
poetry
In the hush of midnight’s velvet veil,
A silver wanderer slips through the night,
Its icy heart begins to unveil,
A luminous tail that twists in soft light.
Children gaze, their eyes alight with wonder,
As the comet carves a quiet, fleeting path—
A celestial sigh that pulls us under,
Reminding us how vast the cosmos hath.
We realise, in that brief, glowing trace,
That even the smallest spark can leave a lasting grace.
