Wycombe Wanderers

poetry

In the quiet folds of Buckinghamshire,
Where the Thames whispers and the fields are green,
Stands Adams Park, a modest stage,
Where the Chairboys chase a timeless dream.

Their kit a clash of navy blue and white,
A steady heartbeat beneath the floodlights' glow,
Each pass a thread, each tackle tight,
Weaving stories only true fans know.

From the roar of the terrace to the hush of doubt,
From promotion’s cheer to relegation’s sigh,
Wycombe Wanderers wear their doubts without,
And turn each setback into a rallying cry.

So here’s to the lads who lace their boots,
Who chase the ball with grit and grace,
Who turn a humble ground into roots
Of pride that time cannot erase.

May the Chairboys soar, on wings of hope,
Through every season, sun and rain,
With hearts as strong as the Chilterns’ slope—
Forever Wanderers, forever England’s refrain.
