poetry
In the heart of Cambridgeshire’s flat lands,
Where the Nene winds slow and the skies turn grey,
Stands London Road, the Posh’s proud abode,
A ground where hope and hard work meet each day.
Peterborough United, the club in blue and white,
Marches on with grit that never yields,
From the roar of the terraces to the quiet night,
Fans sing their chants across the fields.
Every tackle, every pass, a story told,
Of battles fought beneath the winter’s rain,
Of glory chased when the brave and bold
Turn pressure into joy, and pain into gain.
So here’s to the Posh, whose spirit never dies,
Whose colours fly beyond the final whistle’s sigh—
Peterborough United, beneath British skies,
Forever chasing dreams that never say goodbye.
