Derby County

poetry
At Pride Park’s green the Rams still roam,
A sea of black and white in steady foam,
Echoes of 19‑72 still linger near,
When Brian Clough’s men made England hear.
From the Baseball Ground to the modern stand,
Passion flows like the River Trent’s hand,
Each tackle, each chant, a loyal refrain,
Hearts beat in rhythm with Derby’s refrain.
Through promotion’s joy and relegation’s sting,
The fans remain, a steadfast wing,
Their scarves unfurl like flags of pride,
In every goal, in every tide.
So here’s to Derby County, bold and true,
A club whose story’s ever new—
In British grounds, beneath the sky,
The Rams will march, and never die.
