Boston United

poetry
In amber dusk the Pilgrims' pride awakes,
A town that hums with fen‑wind, stone and sea,
Where Boston United's scarlet banners shake
Above the pitch that sings of loyalty.
The Pilgrims' tread upon the grassy sward,
Each pass a hymn to centuries of graft,
From Market Place to York Street's watching crowd,
Their hearts beat loud, their souls unchafed.
Through rain‑slicked nights and summer's golden flare,
They chase the dream that Lincolnshire has sown—
A club of grit, of community, of care,
Where every goal feels like a hometown stone.
So raise a cheer for those in claret dressed,
For Boston United, steadfast, bold, and blessed.
