(Don’t Tell Me About) Your Brand New Podcast

I hear the buzz of your fresh‑inked mic,
the hype that spills like tea at five‑o’clock,
each episode a promise, bright and slick,
while I’m still nursing yesterday’s news‑stock.

You boast of guests whose names I cannot place,
of sound‑checks done in attics, garages, sheds,
of jokes that land with all the grace
of a squirrel on a laminate treads.

Yet all I crave is quiet, not a stream
of self‑promotion wrapped in jargon’s gleam,
a simple chat, a laugh, a mundane scene—
not another trailer for your dream.

So spare me the trailer, the teaser, the blurb,
and let my ears enjoy a proper, peaceful suburb.
