Widen

poetry
Widen the road that winds through misty hills,
Where ancient oaks stand guard and whisper low,
Their branches stretch like arms to greet the sky,
Inviting travellers to let their worries go.
Widen the mind, let thoughts unfurl like fern,
Each frond a question, each leaf a truth untold,
In quiet lanes of wonder we discern
The shades of hope that brave horizons hold.
Widen the heart, a river broad and deep,
That carries laughter, sorrow, song, and grace,
Its currents smooth the stones where secrets sleep,
Reflecting stars upon each gentle face.
So let us widen every path we tread—
Not just the streets, but souls we touch and lead—
For in the widening lies the thread
That weaves our world, where love and light are freed.
