Delta

In the quiet hush of morning tide,
the river sighs and splits its pride,
spilling silver threads to meet the sea—
a living Greek letter, Δ, set free.

Each distributary, a slender limb,
weaves a tapestry where water skims,
carrying silt and stories old,
to sculpt the shore in patient gold.

So stands the delta, humble yet grand,
a bridge of earth between land and strand—
Nature’s own Δ, ever changing,
where fresh and salt engage in ranging.
