Unzip
Sunday 23 April 2023
poetry
Unzip the seam, a quiet sigh,
The teeth part slow beneath the sky—
Whether a coat, a rucksack, or a file,
Each click reveals a hidden mile.
From wool‑lined pockets to digital folds,
The zip unfurls its gentle hold,
Inviting in the world outside,
Or tucking secrets back inside.
So pull the tab, let fibres breathe,
Feel the release, the soft relief—
A simple act, yet full of grace:
To open, close, and find your place.
