Aside
In quiet corners of the bustling day,
A whispered thought drifts, soft and grey—
An aside, a secret that the crowd can’t hear,
A fleeting pause where doubts appear.
It slips between the laughs and sighs,
A sideways glance, a lowered eyes,
A moment’s breath, a thought unspun,
Held close, yet yearning to be spoken.
We tuck it in the margin of our lives,
Like footnotes that the heart derives,
A gentle nudge, a muted tone,
Reminding us we’re not alone.
So let the aside be kind and true,
A quiet compass, shining through—
For in the spaces, faint and slight,
Lies the wisdom of the night.
