Cheltenham Town

poetry
Cheltenham Town – the Robins’ scarlet wing,
A modest ground where hopes take flight.
Whittington’s green, the roar that sings
Of passing boots and earnest fight.
From the terraces the chants arise,
A chorus of the town’s own pride—
Every tackle, every sigh,
Echoes through the fog‑kissed side.
When the whistle blows and skies turn grey,
The players carve a stubborn line;
Their crimson shirts, a bright array,
Defy the chill, refuse to resign.
In victory’s glow or defeat’s sting,
The faithful stand, unbowed, sincere—
For Cheltenham’s heart will always sing,
A loyal song we all hold dear.
