Foamy
Saturday 5 April 2025
poetry
Foamy whispers rise and fall,
A silken crown on amber’s call,
In kettle’s sigh or sea‑kissed spray,
Each bubble dreams the day away.
It crowns the latte, shy and sweet,
A frothy veil on morning’s beat,
It laps the shore in silver lace,
A gentle laugh, a tender embrace.
So here’s to foam, that light‑kissed breath,
That turns the plain to life‑and‑death,
In British hue and quiet cheer—
Foam, the world’s most fleeting frontier.
