poetry
Bournemouth’s seafront glistens in the amber glow,
Where golden sands meet the restless, sapphire tide.
The pier stretches out, a wooden promenade,
Echoing laughter of children who slide and glide.
Victorian villas line the cliff‑top streets,
Their pastel façades softened by sea‑kissed breeze.
Gulls wheel overhead, their cries a salty hymn,
While beach‑goers linger, basking in the ease.
In the evenings, the sky erupts in ruby fire,
Reflecting off the water’s gentle, rolling sigh.
Ice‑cream stalls hum with the sweet, familiar chime,
And the scent of fish‑and‑chips drifts lazily by.
Here, tradition and tide entwine in quiet grace,
A coastal refuge where memories are made—
Bournemouth, beloved, a timeless, British embrace.
