Gnash
Wednesday 6 September 2023
poetry
Gnashing teeth in midnight’s hush,
A restless jaw that won’t be hushed,
Dreams of battle, fierce and raw,
Where shadows gnash and spirits claw.
Each bite a whisper, fierce yet frail,
Against the night’s relentless veil—
A rhythm born of fear and fire,
Where hope and anguish both conspire.
So let the gnash be heard, not feared,
A song of souls that persevered,
For even teeth that grind and grate
Can carve a path to brighter fate.
