Retry
When the screen fades to a muted grey,
And the controller slips from sweaty palm,
I press the button, start again today—
A second chance, a quiet, hopeful calm.
Each misstep is a lesson softly worn,
A pixelated scar that teaches me;
I trace the path where I was once forlorn,
And find the strength to try again, to see.
In life’s rough code, where bugs and glitches hide,
I hit “reload” with grit and British grit—
Not giving up, but letting hope abide,
Until the victory screen is firmly lit.
So let the failures stack like rainy days,
For every “retry” writes a brighter phrase.
