Spoof

A mischievous grin, a whisper of jest,
A spoof that twists the serious to jest.
From parodies of pomp to satire’s sweet bite,
We laugh at the mimicry, day and night.

In theatres, on screens, in newsprint’s bold fray,
A spoof turns the solemn into bright play.
It pokes at the pow’r, it nudges the myth,
With a wink and a nod, it gives us a lift.

So here’s to the spoof—British, wry, and keen,
The art of the mock that keeps life serene.
May its humour endure, its charm never fade,
In the heart of our laughter, a spoof is displayed.
