Motherwell
In the hush of dawn, the Clyde sighs low,
its waters kissing steel‑clad banks,
where furnaces once sang a hymn of labour,
sparks like constellations raining down on cobbled streets.

The town wears its pride in brick and beam,
red‑brick terraces huddle close,
children’s laughter echoing from the playground,
while the roar of Fir Park rolls like distant thunder.

Neighbourhoods breathe with steady hearts,
pubs pour amber ale, stories flow,
and the scent of tea and scones drifts
from kitchen windows onto rain‑kissed pavements.

Motherwell, you are more than industry’s echo—
you are the warmth of a community’s forge,
where past and present meld in quiet strength,
a Scottish jewel, steadfast and true.
