Rinse

poetry
Rinse the day’s accumulated grit,
A soft cascade of cool, clear stream,
Water slipping over skin, it whisks
The dust of toil, the sighs of dream.
In the bathroom’s quiet hush,
Tiles glisten, mirrors gleam anew—
Each droplet sings a muted lull,
A fleeting baptism, pure and true.
So let the rinse be more than wash,
A moment’s pause, a breath released,
Where worries melt and thoughts unwind,
And peace, like water, softly flees.
