poetry

In the hush of morning light,
A small hand finds a mother's palm,
Soft giggles echo like a chime,
Their eyes reflect the sky's bright calm.

Tiny feet patter on the wooden floor,
Chasing shadows, dreams in tow,
A world of wonder, evermore,
Where every puddle gleams like glow.

They clutch a teddy, worn and stitched,
Whisper secrets to the night,
In cot they sigh, in pram they twitch,
Learning love's unspoken light.
