Flirt

poetry

A shy smile flicks across the café,
A teasing glance, a playful sway—
You lean in close, your voice a low hum,
Like summer rain on cobblestones, soft and glum.

Your words are ribbons, light and bright,
Wound ’round my thoughts, catching the light.
A flirt, a dance of subtle art,
Where every pause beats like a heart.

In British rain‑kissed streets we wander,
Exchanging winks, a quiet wonder.
The world may pause, the clocks may stall,
But in this flirt we live for all.
