River

poetry
River’s quiet sigh,
Silver thread through vale,
Carrying whispers of ancient stone,
Mirroring sky’s pale veil.
It dances over smooth‑worn rocks,
Kisses reeds with liquid lace,
Reflects the weeping willow’s droop,
And holds the moon’s soft face.
Through bustling towns and sleepy glens,
Its current never tires,
A constant hum of endless flow,
Stirring dreams and quiet fires.
When dusk arrives in amber hush,
The river sighs once more,
A silver ribbon, ever‑turning,
Forever‑flowing lore.
