Ipswich Town

poetry
At Portman Road the Suffolk sky awash,
Where blue and white in quiet pride convene,
The Tractor Boys have forged a steadfast clash,
Against the winds that sweep the Essex scene.
From Mick Mills’ grit to Lamberts’ hopeful stride,
Each chant a ripple through the terraced throng,
The roar of Ipswich—steady, far and wide—
A hymn to roots where loyal hearts belong.
Though seasons turn and fortunes ebb and flow,
The club remains: a beacon, firm, unshaken,
In every pass, each tackle, every glow,
The spirit of the town is never taken.
So here’s to Ipswich Town, whose colours gleam,
A Suffolk story living in each dream.
