Linked In, Dropped Out

poetry

In the glossy feed of LinkedIn,
where titles gleam like polished tin,
I scroll past CEOs and their lofty claims,
while my own page bears a different name.

I dropped out of uni, the lecture halls
now echo only with distant calls,
yet here I post, in hopeful mode,
a photograph, a modest ode.

My headline reads: “Seeking the next chance”,
no degree, just grit and circumstance.
Connections nod, endorsements flow,
though algorithms wonder what I know.

But in this digital marketplace,
where credentials often set the pace,
I find that worth is not confined
to parchment or a graded mind.

So I build my brand, one post at a time,
turning dropout doubt into a quiet rhyme,
and though the path may twist and stray,
LinkedIn reminds me I can sway.
