Nudge

poetry
A quiet nudge, a whisper‑soft push,
Like dawn’s first light slipping through the curtains,
It coaxes the stubborn leaf to unfurl,
And turns the hesitant heart toward courage.
In the bustle of town, a gentle tap on the shoulder,
A friend’s knowing smile that says, “Try again.”
It is not the shout of a trumpet, nor the shove of a storm,
But the subtle promise that change is possible.
We feel it in the rustle of pages turning,
In the hesitant step before a dance,
In the soft click of a switch that brightens a room—
All reminders that sometimes, all we need is a nudge.
