Cease

Cease the restless drumming of the city’s heart,
Let the sirens fade into a muted sigh.
In the hush between the traffic’s restless art,
A quiet breath can linger, soft and shy.

Cease the endless scrolling, the neon glare,
Turn your eyes to twilight’s gentle hue.
Let the world’s incessant chatter disappear,
Make space for thoughts that feel both old and new.

Cease the war within, the restless tide,
Lay down the armour forged of doubt and fear.
Find the stillness where your thoughts reside,
And in that calm, discover what is dear.

For in the pause where motion starts to cease,
Lies the seed of peace, a quiet, steady grace.
