Uncap
Sunday 11 October 2026
poetry
Uncap the bottle, let the amber spill,
A slow, amber tide that twists the glass,
Each drop a memory, bright and still,
Recalling summers that would not pass.
Uncap the pen, and ink will flow,
A river black upon the page,
Thoughts unfurled in steady glow,
Turning silence into stage.
Uncap the mind, discard the lid,
Let wonder pour like morning dew,
Ideas unfurl, no longer hid,
Fresh as rain on countryside.
So raise the cap, set it aside,
Feel the release, the eager start—
For every seal that we un‑tied
Unlocks a quiet, beating heart.
