poetry
Midnight drapes its sable veil
O’er sleeping town and whispering hill,
Stars alight like silver flakes
Upon the velvet dome of night.
The world hushes in cool repose,
Dream‑weavers wander ‘neath the moon,
While shadows stretch and softly blend,
A quiet hush that hearts attune.
Dawn tiptoes near with pale promise,
Yet night retreats, not gone, but near — A gentle lull that lingers still,
In every breath of evening’s cheer.
