Shady

poetry
Shady lanes where sunlight sighs,
A veil of amber, soft and low,
Where leaves conspire in quiet guise,
And shadows stretch their gentle flow.
Beneath the boughs the world feels hushed,
A cool caress on sun‑warmed skin,
The light retreats, yet never crushed,
It lingers where the leaflets thin.
Here thoughts take root in dappled grace,
Each step a whisper, calm, discreet,
A moment’s pause, a quiet space—
The shade, a friend both mild and sweet.
So let us wander where the day
Softens its blaze to mellow hue,
Finding solace in the grey‑tinged play
Of shade that paints the world anew.
