poetry
In the hush of the evening, the lights grow low,
A silver screen awakes with stories to bestow.
Popcorn crunches softly, the audience draws near,
Waiting for the tale that will soon appear.
From London’s bustling theatres to countryside flicks,
Each frame a portrait, each cut a quick tick.
Heroes in trench coats, romances in rain,
Comedy’s wink, drama’s deep sigh again.
The director’s vision, a painter’s bold hand,
Weaves music and shadow across the land.
Actors breathe life into words once penned,
Turning mere celluloid into hearts that bend.
So let the reel turn, let the projector hum,
In Britain’s cosy cinemas, where dreams become.
For every movie is a journey, a shared delight—
A night of wonder wrapped in pure, soft light.
