poetry
At the crossing of old stone lanes,
A wooden cross stands, weathered, plain.
Its arms outstretched like a traveller’s sigh,
Marking where two roads entwine and lie.
In dusk’s soft hue, shadows gather,
A quiet hymn the wind does tether.
