Alone

In the hush of evening’s amber glow,
I walk the quiet lane where shadows grow,
Footsteps echo soft on cobblestone,
A solitary heart beats its own tone.

The wind whispers through the old oak’s leaves,
Carrying sighs that the dusk retrieves,
Stars prick the velvet sky above,
Each a distant, silent friend of love.

Here, in solitude, I find my voice,
Not in the crowd’s tumultuous noise,
But in the stillness where thoughts align—
A peaceful communion with the mind.

Alone, yet whole, I stand, I breathe, I see,
The world unfolding just for me.
