Snafu
Sunday 9 April 2023
poetry
In the office hum, a lorry‑load of papers
spills like tea over a miss‑spelled memo,
the printer sighs, its ink a murky grey,
while the tea‑break biscuits crumble into chaos.
We tidy the desk, yet the chaos returns—
a proper British snafu, where everything’s
askew, yet we keep calm,
and carry on, cuppa in hand,
finding order in the lovely mess.
