First

poetry
First light spills across the quiet street,
A hush of morning, soft and barely sweet.
The world awakes in muted, amber hue,
Each breath a promise, fresh and new.
First steps on cobblestones, a tentative tread,
Echoes of hope where yesterday has fled.
Hearts beat a rhythm, tentative yet bold,
Stories begin, as yet untold.
First laughter rings, a crystal chime,
Turning ordinary moments sublime.
In every glance, a world reborn,
The first of many—bright, forlorn,
Yet undeniably, wonderfully, first.
